Held annually in Toronto on December 10th - Inernational Human Rights Day.
Send greeting cards to lend support to prisoners of
conscience, human rights defenders, and victims of human rights abuses.
The evening is organized so new people find it easy to compose
appropriate greetings.
An annual event held in March in Oakville. Amnesty International has been a presence at this event for the past few years. Our group staffs an information table at the dinner and asks participants to sign postcards to support the AI Stop Violence Against Women Campaign. We also contribute a door prize.
Ongoing. Our local group has committed to work on the new AI Business and Human Rights campaign. We will look at how Canadian companies do their work in developing countries, and campaign to ensure that multi-national's uphold the same human rights standards that we enjoy in Canada.
